Alison Szalay and Rachel Williams are specialist advisory teachers with Wiltshire Council Specialist SEN Service.
Over the last three years, we have been leading a dyslexia-friendly schools project, supporting schools to achieve the British Dyslexia Association dyslexia-friendly quality mark. We are delighted that 13 Wiltshire schools have successfully achieved the award and we are currently working with a second cohort of schools. We are committed to dyslexia-friendly provision, and the impact it can have for pupils, and are looking forward to the opportunity to share examples of what effective dyslexia-friendly practice looks like in a mainstream school.
