We’re buzzing with excitement as we gear up for the upcoming Dyslexia Show on the 15th and 16th of March at the Birmingham NEC. Our team is working tirelessly to ensure we bring visitors an unforgettable experience, filled with valuable insights, engaging conversations, and a touch of sparkle – literally!
One of the highlights of our preparations involves the creation of custom post-it notes – a simple yet powerful tool that aids excellent working memory. We believe in the effectiveness of these little wonders, and we want you to experience the magic too. Look out for them at our booth and grab a handful – you’ll thank us later.
And what’s a show without a bit of flair? We’re introducing branded T-shirts that are sure to turn heads. Imagine our team donning shirts with “Ask me about executive functions” boldly printed on the back, accompanied by a glittering gold prefrontal cortex. Trust us; you won’t miss us in the crowd. If you spot one of our team members, don’t hesitate to strike up a conversation – we’re here to help!
Our incredible team is flying in from around the world to be with you at this special event. Our education psychologist, Casey Anley, is jetting in all the way from South Africa. Meanwhile, yours truly will be making a week of it; be flying in from Paris after attending UNESCO Global Inclusive School’s Forum during the week. We know that the dyslexia show is such an important event for our community which is why we are prioritising exhibiting this year.
We know that parents and teachers are always looking for resources to help with the development of stronger executive function skills. That’s why we’ve put together virtual goody bags, chock-full of wonderful freebies that you can print and use at home or school. Join us on the stand to scan a code and get immediate access to our sparkly Google Drive file.
Why are we at the Dyslexia Show, you might ask? Well, there’s a common misconception that executive function challenges are exclusive to ADHD. We’re here to break that myth. Our mission is to shed light on the intricate link between executive function challenges, and dyslexia. Understanding this connection is crucial in providing holistic support to individuals navigating the diverse landscape of neurodiversity.
As a Community Interest Company (non profit) we are dedicated to serving our neurodivergent community and the people who work alongside them. We can’t wait to meet you at the Dyslexia Show stand B603. Make sure you pop in and say hello.
See you in Birmingham!
